Chris Westbrook
Curator of the Tusk Lion Trail 2021
Since establishing the Westbrook Gallery in 2000, Chris has developed a unique collaborative approach to working with artists, collectors, corporations and NGO’s across multiple sectors. It has been Chris’ personal mission to create wider opportunities for cultural dialogue with Art’s ability to transform complex ideas in to insightful meaningful public engagement to benefit artists, conservation and the environment, as well as well-being charities. To date, these collaborations fusing art and charity have helped raise over £4million.
Through his curatorial vision, whether creating a private bespoke project, a public arts campaign, or sourcing new works for a collection with absolute discretion, Chris works with many of the most famous artists, companies and individuals as well as elevating opportunities for emerging new talent to be recognised.
Having curated Tusk’s hugely successful Rhino trail in 2018, Chris is delighted to be collaborating with Tusk Trust again as Curator and Creative Director of the 2021 Tusk Lion Trail, helping to bring the plight of this majestic animal to our global attention through art, with 45 international artists across 5 countries across both hemispheres.
