The Global Pride
Having been on display since World Lion Day, the majority of our lions have now sadly completed their tour and been removed ahead of going to auction at Bonhams in London. Proceeds from the auction on 9 November will support Tusk’s conservation work.
However, one or two lions still remain on show, including David Griggs’ Civilian Warrior, which was unveiled at Sydney Town Hall on Monday 8th November. The artwork will remain on display until Tuesday 16 November.

Our Australian lion has been released … it will be unveiled at Sydney Town Hall on Monday 8 November. The artwork will remain on display until Monday 22 November.
Wellington, New Zealand
Prowling outside the iconic Beehive of New Zealand’s Parliament, the most southerly of our lions has been designed by one the country’s greatest rugby legends.
Nairobi, Kenya
Our two African lions will feel at home gracing the entrance to Nairobi National Park and the headquarters of the Kenya Wildlife Service. The Nairobi National Park is itself home to over 30 lions and a number of Tusk-supported projects protecting lions throughout Kenya.
Edinburgh, Scotland
A coalition of three rampant lions can be found in the heart of Edinburgh, in the very recently opened St James Quarter, the city’s largest development in a generation. Each of the three artists has a special link to Scotland.
Bristol, England
At Ashton Gate Stadium, the fans of Bristol City Football Club and the Bristol Bears Rugby Club now also have their very own lion to cheer for, designed by a true rock and roll idol.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
These lions can now be found at the DP World Pavilion at the Expo2020 in Dubai.
