Professor Gerry McGovern OBE
Professor Gerry Mcgovern OBE lives by design. As Chief Creative Officer for Jaguar Land Rover and Member of the Board, he is convinced of the ability of design to transform business while enriching people’s lives.
Symbolising bravery and inspired by the vivid sunsets that occur in the lion’s natural habitat, the sculpture’s gradation from rich orange hues to chrome visually represents the threat of extinction.
The winning recipient of Land Rover’s ‘Long Live The Lion’ sculpture, will experience an exclusive tour of the Land Rover Design studio.
They will also be treated to three hours of action-packed off-road driving at a Land Rover Experience Centre, with the choice of exciting models, including the unstoppable Defender.
This lion will go to auction at Bonhams on 9 November 2021
